Sea Roses

The expression "sea of flowers" is common to describe a huge flower-field. However this time we take it literally and introduce three art-works called "Sea Roses" from photo-series Sea Sentiments, taken from our terrace in Monaco.

Using double exposure photo-technic to combine a portrait of rare Blue Roses and a seascape of agitated sea-waves in one single image, the art-works of this trio represent the unity of nature in its different forms and displays.

A blue rose is a flower of the genus Rosa (family Rosaceae) that presents blue-to-violet pigmentation instead of the more common red, white, or yellow. Blue roses are often portrayed in literature and art as symbols of love, prosperity, or immortality.

In some cultures, blue roses are traditionally associated with "blue" royal blood, and thus the blue rose can also denote regal majesty and splendor. Due to the absence in nature of blue roses they have come to symbolise mystery and longing to attain the impossible, with some cultures going so far as to say that the holder of a blue rose will have his/her wishes granted.

The art-works are available in two sizes (75cm x 50cm and 90cm x 60cm ) and in two styles: Fancy or Classic.

Fancy Style materials: original photo print under acrylic glass.Aluminium Dibond Backing

Classic Style materials: Hahnemuhle Baryta 315g paper (200 years of colour guarantee), passepartout, white wooden frame, normal or acrylic glass
